This is a great photo because I was able to capture the texture of the grapes and keep them in sharp focus. the grapes in the background were blurred out to create depth in the composition of the image. I filled the entire image with the subject because I wanted to show the clutter and chaos of the fruit.

When taking this photo I composed the photo by placing the camera on the table. Then I glided the camera across to create the blurring effect around the subject. There are no distractions in the background and the subject is well lit. I got lucky by having some very fine visual tension along the bottom of the frame.

When composing this photo I gave priority to the placement of the garbage bag by keeping it in the right and center thirds of the frame. I blurred everything behind the bag to have the subject in focus. I like the sharpness of the fence because it represents how people block out filth from their lives.

Mimic

While taking this photo I considered angling the camera to capture the shadow and the subject in a way that represented the idea of a imitation or mimic. I used visual tension in the top left corner to stop the eyes from leaving the photo because the subjects arm is very close to the edge of the frame.

I placed these leaves in this way because I like the texture and lines that are sharp and in focus. The ice creates a cool reflection of lighting and really adds to the mood and atmosphere. I blurred the background out really effective reducing all the distractions.
